Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia, studied Jazz at the Manhattan School of Music, and received a master’s degree in Music Education from SUNY Buffalo. In 1996, Ken was named “Best College Jazz Soloist” by Downbeat Magazine, and spent 6 months touring with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Since 1998, Ken has been teaching music in NYS public schools, and has shared the stage with a variety of musical artists including Bruce Johnstone, Don Menza, Brad Leali, Aretha Franklin, Martha and the Vandellas, Don Rickles, Frankie Scinta, The Four Tops, Nancy Wilson, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. Ken is also a member of The Buffalo Jazz Composers Workshop.
